Dip powder nails on Key Biscayne

October 7, 2026 · 4 min read

A dipping powder manicure is on the menu at Neo Nail Bar, 905 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149. It is $54. Like every manicure here, it includes shaping, cuticle care, and a hand massage. This note covers what dip is, what it costs on the Key, and how it compares to the gel options on the same manicure menu.

What a dip powder manicure is

Dip is built on your natural nail in thin layers. Colored powder goes over a bonding base, layer by layer, and the set is sealed with a finishing coat. There is no UV lamp in a dip service. The result is a firmer coat than regular polish.

Dip is a manicure, not an extension. If you want length, that is on the extensions menu, where a full set with dipping powder is $84, next to acrylic, hard gel, and Aprés Gel-X. For Gel-X sizes and prices, read Gel-X on Key Biscayne.

Dip vs gel on Key Biscayne

The manicure menu has several ways to get color that lasts. Here is how they line up on price:

  • UV gel manicure — $43. Gel polish cured under a lamp.
  • Rubber base UV manicure — $53.
  • Dipping powder manicure — $54. Powder layers, no lamp.
  • Neo Spa UV gel manicure — $58. The spa manicure finished in gel.
  • Structured manicure — $59.
  • Essie Gel Couture manicure — $29, and a regular manicure is $24, if you change color often.

How to choose comes down to how you use your hands. Gel is the familiar choice if you like a thinner, glossy finish and you are happy to sit under the lamp. Dip suits you if you want a firmer coat on your natural nail and would rather skip the lamp. If your own nails are thin or bend, ask about the structured or rubber base manicure. Not sure? Tell the technician how long you want it to last and what your week looks like. They will steer you.

Adding dip to another service

You can add dipping powder to a service for $30. Finishes go on top, priced on the extras menu: French with a service is $15, chrome effect is $15, cat-eye effect is $20, and nail design starts at $10. Stiletto, coffin, or almond shaping starts at $15. A nail repair starts at $10.

Removal, and switching between dip and gel

Removal is its own line on the extras menu. Removing dipping powder is $10 with a new service, or $20 if you only want it off. Removing UV gel polish is $5 with a service, or $10 on its own. If you are switching from gel to dip, or from dip back to gel, mention it when you book so the chair has time for the removal first.

Dip with a pedicure

If you want hands and feet in one visit, add a pedicure. A regular pedicure is $41, a Neo Spa pedicure is $58, and the Volcano Spa pedicure starts at $89. The full list is on the pedicure page. If you only need a refresh, a regular mani and pedi together is $63.
